There are two types of air source heat pumps, air to air and air to water.
Air to air, release and capture energy through an air heat exchanger, which is then forced by a fan around the dwelling through trunking or directly into the room.
Air to water heat pumps release the energy into a water circuit which is then used in a wet heating system (radiators or underfloor)
